Recent graduate Dr. Christopher DeLuca won the Canadian Association for Curriculum Studies (CACS) Outstanding Dissertation Award for excellence in curriculum studies at the doctoral level. His dissertation was entitled Constructing a Framework for the Validation of Complex Program Aims.
In this research, Dr. DeLuca developed a theoretically-informed framework for analyzing coherence between interpretations and practices associated with educational program aims.
Dr. DeLuca is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Measurement and Research at the University of South Florida. His areas of specialization are in curriculum studies, assessment in education, and qualitative research methodology.
His research has been published in national and international academic journals including Assessment in Education: Principles, Policy and Practice; Assessment Matters; Canadian Journal of Educational Administration and Policy; Journal of the Canadian Association for Curriculum Studies; and Educational Research.
